Top Education Institute is proud to announce that Professor John Jenkins has joined the Institute from 12 November 2018. Professor Jenkins has extensive leadership and academic governance experience in Australian universities. He has worked at several Australian universities, including Central Queensland University (1992-1994), the University of Canberra (1994-1998), The University of Newcastle (1998-2007), and most recently at Southern Cross University. At SCU he was Professor of Tourism and held a number of senior positions, such as Head, School of Tourism and Hospitality Management (2007-2011), Chair, Academic Board (2011-2015), and Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (July 2017- June 2018). Dr Mariya Yesseleva-Pionka won the best paper award at the 9th annual George Washington University October 23-24, Conference titled, “Entrepreneurship and Economic Development: A Winning Combination”, hosted by International Council for Small Business (ICSB) in collaboration with the US Small Business Administration (SBA). The Roof-Sealing Ceremony and Gala Dinner for Building 3, currently undergoing construction at the Australian Technology Park (ATP) was held on 24th August 2018. It is expected that the company will start leasing the new building in the ATP in 2019, in order to manage the expansion of our growing schools of law and business. 

The recent Top Education Institute Research Symposium welcomed guest speaker, Associate Professor Chris Baumann from Macquarie University whose keynote presentation centred on his experiences and insights as an accomplished researcher in the fields of “Competitiveness, Confucianism and Customer Loyalty”. He also offered valuable advice and techniques to enhance prospects for research publications. The subsequent roundtable discussion enabled participants to discuss their own research interests and projects and to explore opportunities for research collaborations. In all, the Symposium was judged to be a resounding success and a valuable contribution to enhancing research at TOP.  Below are some snapshots: 

The Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) has authorised Top Education Institute to self-accredit courses in the Broad Field of Education 08 Management and Commerce at Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) levels 5 – 9 TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that the application for self-accrediting authority of courses of study in the management and commerce field of education submitted by Top Education Insitute meets the criteria for authorising Self-Accrediting Authority of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2011.
